South African Chamber of Commerce (UK)
Business & Community Awards 2018

Even the best deserve reward and recognition

Public recognition is more value than “money”

Accolade drives visibility and offers opportunity

Reward helps the bottom line

Chamber recognition of achievement will help our high achievers excel yet further, act as models and mentors for others to aspire to the value of effort

Chamber offers excellent opportunities for sponsors to be associated with best in class, the correlated value will be improved visibility of their own companies.

Features of the Awards

This year, the Award categories have been widened offering a larger group the value of recognition.

The Awards recognise 10 achievers ranging from individuals in their community who has made a difference, efforts in the Charitable and Giving Back arenas to corporate business sector individuals who have driven value in their own or employers’ business.

Nominees and Finalists will be celebrated in the run up to the event – three and a half months of personal value and exposure and ongoing, the Information remains available for continued personal brand awareness.

Winners will gain post event exposure with their sponsors in their communities and SACC will be provide a platform to share their successes and experiences with wider audiences.

Exposure on the Chamber website and widespread social media and networking opportunities will promote value, individually for nominees, finalists and particularly for winners and their businesses.  Importantly for the sponsors, the ongoing association to the Award, the winners and finalists and what they achieve in their year.

Success Steps

We need your nominations

The Chamber needs you to nominate colleagues – a very simple two minute process.  A wider range of nominations given credibility to the finalists and award winner.

Please nominate those you believe deserve the accolade for their success.  Nominations close 12:00 noon on 9th April 2018

We need your attendance

The Chamber requires attendees on the night – an evening of networking a professional entertainment by fellow South Africans, a chance to win magic hampers and be photographed with friends and winners.

Please book your ticket and if you wish to book a table of 10, then please contact us on  to arrange for the discount.

We need sponsors

The Chamber needs sponsors for Awards, winner's gifts and seats for selected community individuals – create an amazing learning and bonding experience as sponsor meets those for whom they have made a difference.   Please contact Sharon Constançon, our Chairman, on, to state your interest to sponsor – no matter how small – an item in the goodie bag, a ticket for those who cannot afford, a prize, or a category.

The Glorious Night

Key Speaker

Sir Nicholas Stadlen

A retired UK High Court Judge who has been involved in many high profile cases for example the 12 year Bank of England case where he completed the longest speech in legal history.  He has also interviewed famous world politicians, is a visiting fellow of St Antony’s College, Oxford and has written a book on the Rivonia Trail which is now a feature film being released this year.  He will be talking about the lessons we can learn from what really happened behind the scenes of that trial of 10, who became prominent South Africans because of what they stood for.

Sponsored tickets to a private filming will be auctioned on the night.

We will be serenaded by Njabulo Madlala a South African baritone and Simon Shibambu a South African bass.

A wider than ever buffet range of traditional South African starters, main courses and deserts to delight in.  Drinks begin with sparkling MCC and followed on with South African white, red wines, beers and ciders.

The venue is an amazing glass Atrium allowing you to watch the evening sky progress from light to sunset and darkness.

We have created more time to enjoy networking before food and formalities and again thereafter.  Once the carriages are called after 11:00 pm the main hotel bar will remain open for us.

One of many key annual events that enables you to mix with South Africans and those interested in SA, strike new business deals, find new friends, source solutions to your issues and understand what else the Chamber is achieving.
